The Gerston distillery was founded in 1796 by Francis Swanson in the county of Caithness in the Highlands and closed its doors for good in 1882 when the water supply to the distillery stopped.

Lost Distllery aims to revive the style of whiskies from distilleries that disappeared or were destroyed in the 19th and early 20th centuries due to prohibition. These whiskies are craft whiskies. This whisky is an exceptional Blended Malts presented in a black bottle, hand bottled, 46%, without cold filtration and without the addition of colouring.
