Created in 2009, Macallan's 1824 collection pays tribute to the year the distillery was founded.
The whisky's name, Oscuro, which means "dark" in Spanish, is inspired by its heritage of sherry as well as its voluptuous opulence.
The Macallan Oscuro is drawn exclusively from oak casks infused with Oloroso sherry. These casks are overwhelmingly first-fill, giving the whisky a deep, rich colour and intense flavour.
The Macallan Oscuro is made exclusively from Oloroso sherry-infused oak casks.
Since its foundation in 1824 The Macallan has pursued with determination its quest for the exceptional, and given birth to outstanding single malts.
